Climat of the District

 

The climate of Wardha district is characterised by hot summers and a general dryness throughout the year except during the south-west monsoon when the humidity is above 60%.

 

During the May, the hottest month of the year, the average maximum temperature has been recorded at 42°C and the average minimum at 28°C. December is the coldest month with average maximum temperature of 28°C and average minimum of 15°C. 

The average annual rainfall in the district is 1090.3 mm, out of which 87% is received during June to September. In general, the rainfall increases from west to east.
